Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This policy explains when you can cancel a booking, how much you get back and how long a refund takes. It applies to stays, transfers and activities booked through PackForBreak.
1. The rate you booked decides the rules
Each listing shows its cancellation terms before you pay. The three rate families are:
- Free cancellation — cancel before the deadline shown on the booking (usually 24 or 48 hours before arrival or pick-up) and receive a 100% refund.
- Partially refundable — cancel before the deadline and receive a refund minus the first night or a fixed service fee.
- Non-refundable — no refund is due if you cancel, change dates or do not arrive. These rates are cheaper for exactly this reason.
2. Flash Deals
Flash Deal bookings are paid online at the time of booking and are non-refundable unless the listing explicitly states otherwise. The allocation is limited, so a cancelled Flash Deal is released back to other members rather than refunded. Statutory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
3. How to cancel
Open My bookings in your account, select the reservation and choose Cancel. The screen shows the exact refund amount before you confirm. You receive a cancellation email with a reference number immediately. If you cannot access your account, contact support before the deadline — the timestamp of your request is what counts.
4. Refund timelines
- We approve and release eligible refunds within 24 hours of the cancellation.
- Card refunds reach your statement in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. The money returns to the card used for payment.
- Pay-at-property bookings involve no charge from us, so there is nothing to refund unless a no-show fee was taken.
5. No-shows and late arrival
If you do not arrive and have not cancelled, the supplier may charge the no-show fee stated in the rate — typically the first night or the full transfer price. For transfers, the driver waits 60 minutes after a tracked flight lands and 15 minutes at other pick-up points.
6. If the supplier cancels or cannot deliver
You always receive a full refund, including any non-refundable amount, and our operators offer a comparable alternative. If the only alternative costs more, PackForBreak covers the difference up to the value of your original booking. Activities cancelled for weather or safety reasons can be rebooked free of charge or refunded in full.
7. Complaints about the service received
If the room, vehicle or tour differs materially from the listing, report it within 48 hours through the booking, with photos where possible. We open a case, contact the supplier and can issue a partial or full refund depending on the outcome. Cases are normally resolved within 10 business days.
8. Force majeure
For events outside anyone's control — natural disasters, border closures, official travel bans — we work with the supplier to offer a free date change or a credit. Where the supplier's own terms allow a refund, we pass it on in full.
9. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. We can usually resolve the issue faster, and an open dispute freezes the booking while it is investigated.
